The Gun Carrier Mk.I was the world’s first self-propelled artillery vehicle and one of the earliest tracked military transport vehicles. Developed from the British tank programme, it was designed to move heavy guns, ammunition, and supplies across difficult terrain. Although produced in limited numbers, it pioneered concepts later adopted by modern armoured forces.
