Oh my word. Forty years waiting for a 1/72 model of this tank, and Battlefied3D are the first to do so. It’s odd that US heavy tanks and prototypes have been ignored over the decades as 1/72 model kits, but we can get Mauses and E100s and Panther Fs galore. At least they actually built some of these, even for two companies worth in a what-if wargame. Glad to see Battlefield 3D now addressing this.
A fabulous model, details include grab rails on the hull front corners, twin bow MG, towing/lifting loops that actually have holes in, and gun barrels with holes at the end. Better quality than can be made in plastic kit form.
It’s a two piece model, turret and hull, so no assembly required. The only fettling to do is removing some thin runner sprues from around the wheels, which can be done gently with a sharp knife or fine file.
Highly recommended.
